May I please take this opportunity to introduce you to the Silver Supreme Majorettes. We are troupe that is 22 strong and made up of both boy's and Girl's who ages range from 2 to 19.
We began our journey in September of 2007, in Great Bentley in Essex. We have recently relocated to a village a couple of miles down the road to St Osyth/Point Clear, due to the price in hall hire. The troupe was formed, due to a request from a couple of members who had previously danced with Jacqui, in a prior troupe. After some deliberation Jacqui gave in, and the troupe was born.
The troupe colours are black, navy and silver this is so that we can add other colours as and when we feel the need. We have different uniforms for different routines. We currently offer displays in pom, baton and flag work, and are looking forward to this year when we shall be able to show all our hard work off to the general public, at carnivals and fetes across the region. We are also looking forward to the opportunity to take part in competitions, as we are members of both the National Carnival Guild and the Northern Majorettes Association.
Over the last six months we have been very busy fundraising, and both the troupe members and parents have been very supportive. If it was not for the dedication on both of these parties, we would have got no where.
The troupe is run by our troupe leader who has the final say in all decisions made on behalf of the troupe. Jacqui has the backing of a small management committee, who assist her, with the day to day running of the troupe. Jacqui is very grateful for all of their hard work, and effort, that they put into the troupe.
The troupe it self is made up of both experienced twirlers and not so experienced twirlers, all of whom work extremely hard, at training and also at any event we may attend. They are all very dedicated, and Jacqui is pleased with them all, as she says they are all her Girl's and Boy's.
If you would like to find more out about the troupe, book us for an event or help with fundraising, please go to our contact page were you will find details on how to do this.
Good luck to all troupes for the forth coming year.
